The Qatar National Cement Company (QNCC) and the Gulf Organization for Research and Development (Gord) have joined forces to step up their efforts to promote a sustainable built environment.
A memorandum of understanding was recently signed between the organizations in the presence of senior leaders representing QNCC and Gord.
As part of the agreement, the partner entities will collaborate on research, development and innovation (RDI) projects in the area of ​​green/low carbon building products. In addition to RDI activities, the organizations will also lead capacity building and knowledge sharing exercises to encourage industry-wide transition to low-carbon solutions and green building practices. By capitalizing on QNCC’s capability among industry leaders and Gord’s accomplishments in environmental sustainability, the MOU aims to explore synergies to benefit from the collective expertise and experience of partner organizations. QNCC CEO, Essa Mohamed Ali Kaldari said, “The MoU with the Gulf Organization for Research and Development aims to strengthen cooperation in scientific research in the field of green and low-carbon products. carbon emission, achieve sustainable development and establish an integrated system. system that serves all the people of Qatar.
